Additional Eligibility Information
Limited-competition NOFO. Only current NIDDK-supported K01, K08, K23, or K25 recipients are eligible to apply as PD/PI. K awardees who have already successfully competed for an R01 (or equivalent) are ineligible. The applicant’s K award must be active at the time of the earliest intended R03 start date (including no-cost extensions); ideally at least one year remains, but at minimum it must be active at the intended start date.
