The NIA K22 Career Transition Award helps postdoctoral researchers move into tenure-track or similar faculty roles. It offers three years of salary and research funding, but only after they have left the postdoctoral phase. Applicants should be prepared to transition within 12 months of receiving the award. Foreign/Non-domestic entities are not eligible to apply. Non-domestic (non-U.S.) components of U.S. organizations are not eligible. Foreign components, as defined in the NIH Grants Policy Statement, are not allowed. Applicant organization registrations (must be active before submission): SAM (with annual renewal; domestic orgs require CAGE code; foreign orgs would require NCAGE), UEI (from SAM), eRA Commons (with at least one SO and one PD/PI account), and Grants.gov.
