The Native American Research Centers for Health (NARCH) Planning Grants program provides support to federally-recognized American Indian/Alaska Native Tribes, Tribal colleges and universities, Tribal health programs, and Tribal organizations. The grant helps these entities plan and prepare for developing strong NARCH applications.

Eligibility

The following categories of applicants are invited to apply:

Small businesses
Nonprofits having a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education
Public and State controlled institutions of higher education
Native American tribal governments (Federally recognized)
County governments
For profit organizations other than small businesses
State governments
Public housing authorities/Indian housing authorities
Independent school districts
Private institutions of higher education

Additional Eligibility Information

The applicant organization must meet one of the following criteria: A federally recognized AI/AN Tribe, as defined under 25 U.S.C. 1603(14); or A Tribal college or university, a Tribal health program, or a Tribal organization as defined under 25 U.S.C. 1603 (24), (25), and (26), respectively; or A consortium of two or more of those Tribal entities.
