The NARCH program provides support for health-related research, the development of research careers, and the improvement of research facilities for recognized American Indian/Alaska Native Tribes and Tribal Entities.

Eligibility

The following categories of applicants are invited to apply:

  • Federally recognized American Indian/Alaska Native (AI/AN) Tribes (25 U.S.C. 1603(14))
  • Tribal Colleges or Universities (25 U.S.C. 1603(24))
  • Tribal Health Programs (25 U.S.C. 1603(25))
  • Tribal Organizations (25 U.S.C. 1603(26))
  • Consortium of two or more eligible Tribal Entities (any combination of the above)
Additional Eligibility Information
- Applicant organization must be one of the eligible Tribal Entities and be committed to supporting a NARCH and its goals. Applicant should have the research administrative infrastructure to manage a multi-component grant. - Partnerships: Applicant (an eligible Tribal Entity) may partner with other eligible Tribes/Tribal Entities and with additional non-tribal organizations.
