The NARCH program supports health-related research, research career enhancement, and research infrastructure enhancement activities for federally-recognized American Indian/Alaska Native Tribes and Tribal Entities.

Federally recognized American Indian/Alaska Native (AI/AN) Tribes (25 U.S.C. 1603(14))
Tribal Colleges or Universities (25 U.S.C. 1603(24))
Tribal Health Programs (25 U.S.C. 1603(25))
Tribal Organizations (25 U.S.C. 1603(26))
Consortium of two or more eligible Tribal Entities (any combination of the above)

  • Applicant organization must be one of the eligible Tribal Entities and be committed to supporting a NARCH and its goals. Applicant should have the research administrative infrastructure to manage a multi-component grant.
