The following categories of applicants are invited to apply:

  • Federally recognized American Indian/Alaska Native (AI/AN) Tribes (Tribal governments) — as defined at 25 U.S.C. 1603(14)
  • Tribal Colleges and Universities — as defined at 25 U.S.C. 1603(24)
  • Tribal Health Programs — as defined at 25 U.S.C. 1603(25)
  • Tribal Organizations — as defined at 25 U.S.C. 1603(26)
  • Consortia of two or more eligible Tribal entities (any combination of the above)
Additional Eligibility Information
This NOFO is limited to eligible federally recognized Tribes and specified Tribal entities. Applications will be accepted from both individual eligible Tribal entities and consortia of two or more eligible Tribal entities to establish a new Tribal IRB or enhance an existing Tribal IRB. Foreign/Non-domestic eligibility: Non-domestic (non-U.S.) Entities (Foreign Organizations) are not eligible to apply.
