The Corridor Identification and Development Program is a national initiative focused on planning and developing intercity passenger rail services across the U.S. It aims to create a pipeline of ready-to-implement rail projects that can receive Federal and other funding. Unlike past efforts, this program supports long-term development and acts as the main source of Federal financial and technical support for enhancing and establishing new intercity passenger rail services.
