What it is: The Facility and Instrumentation Request Process (FIRP) is NSF’s required pathway for researchers to request access to specialized atmospheric science instruments and facilities supported by the FARE program (via LAOF and CIF).
Who should apply: Anyone proposing work in the Division of Atmospheric and Geospace Sciences (AGS) that needs FARE-sponsored assets. All AGS proposals requiring these assets must apply through FIRP.
