The following categories of applicants are invited to apply:

  • Federally recognized American Indian/Alaska Native (AI/AN) Tribes (25 U.S.C. 1603(14))
  • Tribal Colleges or Universities (TCUs)
  • Tribal Health Programs (as defined under 25 U.S.C. 1603(24))
  • Tribal Organizations (as defined under 25 U.S.C. 1603(26))
  • Consortia of two or more eligible Tribal Entities (any combination of the above)
Additional Eligibility Information
- Only eligible Tribal Entities may apply. Standard higher education institutions, nonprofits, for-profits, and state/local governments are not eligible unless they are one of the specified Tribal Entities above. - Sponsoring institution must assure support and demonstrate appropriate institutional commitment (adequate staff, facilities, and educational resources). - Institutions with existing NIH NRSA institutional training grants (e.g., T34) or other federally funded training programs may app…
