Federally recognized American Indian/Alaska Native (AI/AN) Tribes (25 U.S.C. 1603(14))
Tribal Colleges or Universities (TCUs)
Tribal Health Programs (as defined under 25 U.S.C. 1603(24))
Tribal Organizations (as defined under 25 U.S.C. 1603(26))
Consortia of two or more eligible Tribal Entities (any combination of the above)

  • Only eligible Tribal Entities may apply. Standard higher education institutions, nonprofits, for-profits, and state/local governments are not eligible unless they are one of the specified Tribal Entities above.
