Description
This grant supports research on HIV cure strategies during active infection or around the time of ART initiation, focusing on boosting the immune response and limiting virus reservoir formation. It encourages studies on the viral reservoir in the early stages of infection and right after ART starts. Basic research into how the body controls the virus and reduces reservoirs is also encouraged. Clinical trials are not allowed, but using samples from other trials is encouraged.
