This grant opportunity supports research on HIV cure strategies administered during active HIV infection, before or just as antiretroviral therapy (ART) starts. The goal is to boost the immune response and prevent the establishment of HIV reservoirs. It encourages studies using animal models and samples from other clinical trials. However, it does not fund new clinical trials.
