Continuum of Care Builds (CoC Builds)

Description

Funding to create new permanent supportive housing (PSH) units by building, buying, or rehabilitating properties. Most of the grant must be used for these capital activities that add new PSH units. Limited funding can cover other eligible CoC Program costs, including administrative expenses, subject to percentage caps detailed in NOFO sections IV.B.1.b and IV.B.1.c.

The following categories of applicants are invited to apply:

  • Nonprofits having a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education
  • Others (see text field entitled "Additional Information on Eligibility" for clarification)
  • Native American tribal governments (Federally recognized)
  • County governments
  • Public housing authorities/Indian housing authorities
  • City or township governments
  • State governments
  • Special district governments
Additional Eligibility Information
Faith-based organizations may apply on the same basis as any other organization. HUD does not engage in any unlawful and improper conduct, policies, or practices that target faith-based organizations. Individuals, foreign entities, and sole proprietorship organizations are not eligible to compete for, or receive, awards made under this announcement.
