The BRAIN Initiative BBQS grant supports the creation of innovative tools to measure behavior and neural activity in complex environments. It funds projects that develop advanced sensors and bioelectronic devices, as well as new models to analyze the relationship between behavior, environment, and brain activity over time. The focus is on integrating behavior data with neural data for a comprehensive understanding of brain activity in dynamic settings.

Required registrations: Applicant organizations must complete and maintain SAM (active, renewed at least annually), obtain NCAGE (for foreign organizations), obtain a Unique Entity Identifier (UEI) via SAM.gov, register in eRA Commons (with at least one Signing Official and one PD/PI), and register in Grants.gov (requires active SAM).
