This grant opportunity offers an intensive, guided research career development program for scientists from low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). It aims to help participants establish independent research careers either in their home institutions or in another LMIC. Eligible applicants are scientists from any health-related field who propose career development and research projects that address their country's health priorities, working under the guidance of both LMIC and U.S. mentors.

Additional Eligibility Information
Organizational eligibility: Only non-domestic (non-U.S.) entities (foreign institutions) in LMICs may apply. Applications must be submitted by academic education or research institutions in LMICs. Non-domestic (non-U.S.) components of U.S. organizations are not eligible to apply. Foreign components, as defined in the NIH Grants Policy Statement, are allowed.
