The Genetics or Epigenetics of Substance Use Disorders Avenir Award is designed for early stage researchers with innovative ideas in the study of addiction's genetics or epigenetics. It encourages novel methods or approaches that could introduce new research areas in this field. Foreign/Non-domestic entities: Non-domestic (non-U.S.) entities (foreign institutions) are NOT eligible to apply. Non-domestic (non-U.S.) components of U.S. organizations are NOT eligible to apply. Foreign components, as defined in the NIH Grants Policy Statement, are allowed within applications from eligible U.S. applicants.
