The Genetics, Epigenetics, and Development Branch (GED) offers research funding focused on the genetic and biological processes involved in addiction and substance use disorders (SUD). This includes studying genetic factors that make individuals more susceptible to addiction, as well as using molecular genetics, epigenetics, cell biology, neural development, and bioinformatics to understand these issues.
