This grant opportunity focuses on research to better understand the biological and behavioral processes leading to neuropsychiatric symptoms (NPS) in Alzheimer's disease (AD) and related dementias (ADRD). The goal is to identify new treatment targets to help create interventions for preventing and treating these symptoms.

The findings are expected to advance mechanistic understanding of both bio behavioral and neurobiological pathways leading to NPS. Findings may also provide insight into novel therapeutic targets that can be advanced into interventions to treat and prevent the development of NPS in AD and/or ADR…
