The Interfacial Engineering program supports basic research on atomic- and molecular-scale interfacial phenomena, aiming to improve chemical process efficiency and resource usage. Research should focus on translating findings into industrial applications, tackle long-standing challenges, or explore new research areas and technologies. Proposals combining experiments with theory or modeling are encouraged. The program prioritizes:
