Fluid Dynamics
National Science Foundation
Description
The Fluid Dynamics program supports fundamental research to understand fluid dynamics physics and is part of the Transport Phenomena cluster. Key research areas include turbulence, bio-fluid physics, non-Newtonian fluid mechanics, micro- and nano-fluidics, wind and ocean energy harvesting, and fluid-structure interactions, with special joint funding opportunities available for the latter. Innovative proposals in other areas may be considered after consulting the Program Director. Proposals s…
The Fluid Dynamics program is part of the Transport Phenomena cluster, which also includes 1) Combustion and Fire Systems; 2) Particulate and Multiphase Processes; and 3) Thermal Transport Processes.
