Basic Instrumentation Grant (BIG) Program

Description
The BIG Program provides funding for institutions that haven't received S10 instrumentation funding over $500,000 in the past three federal fiscal years. The minimum grant amount is $25,000, with a maximum award of $350,000. Eligible instruments include cell sorters, confocal microscopes, ultramicrotomes, gel imagers, and computer systems, among others. There is no upper limit on the price of the instrument itself.
The BIG Program is limited to institutions that have not received S10 instrumentation funding of $500,001 or greater in any of the preceding 3 Federal fiscal years (FY). The minimum award is $25,000. There is no maximum price limit for the instrument; however, the maximum award is $350,000. Inst…
