Description

This grant opportunity supports small businesses in developing MATChS through a cooperative agreement. Projects should focus on creating tools and technologies for high-throughput automated processes that include on-line sensing, rapid data acquisition, and analysis to minimize manual work. The following categories of applicants are invited to apply:

  • For-Profit Organizations: United States Small Business Concerns (SBCs) meeting SBA SBIR eligibility (organized for profit; place of business in the U.S.; operates primarily in the U.S. or makes a significant contribution to the U.S. economy; ≤500 employees including affiliates)
  • For-Profit Organizations: Joint ventures that qualify as SBCs under SBA rules (SBIR-eligible; with <50% participation by foreign business entities in the joint venture)
  • For-Profit Organizations: SBCs majority-owned by multiple venture capital operating companies, hedge funds, or private equity firms (SBIR-only; not eligible for STTR)
