Description
Purpose: Fund interdisciplinary projects to build complex 3D lab-grown tissue systems (microphysiological systems like tissue chips, organ-on-chip, and organoids) that mimic aging and reproduce aging features seen in the whole organism.
Focus: Human cell–derived systems are the priority. Nonhuman mammalian cells can be used for benchmarking, validation, or when clearly relevant to human aging.
