This SAMHSA program aims to enhance the behavioral and primary healthcare workforce that provides substance use disorder (SUD) treatment and recovery support. It focuses on quickly adopting evidence-based practices, increasing the workforce's knowledge and skills to meet the needs of individuals with substance use and co-occurring health disorders, and building alliances among diverse professionals, researchers, policymakers, funders, and the recovery community.
