  • Purpose: Funds investigator-initiated, milestone-driven clinical trials that test regenerative medicine therapies in people. The goal is to accelerate safe, rigorous evaluation of innovative cell, gene, and tissue-based interventions.

  • Mechanism: UH3 cooperative agreement. This means an interventional clinical trial is required and NIH program staff will be actively involved in oversight and milestones.
