Funds applied research to develop new methods for separating and analyzing the sounds made by small drones flying in a swarm. The goal is to use where the sounds come from (spatial) and their frequencies (spectral) to:

  • send and receive data encoded in those sounds, and
  • help drones determine each other’s relative positions within the group.
