- Supports innovative ways to recruit, prepare, and keep effective K–12 math and science teachers and teacher leaders working in high-need school districts (high-need LEAs).
- Also funds research on how to improve teacher effectiveness and retention.
- Encourages participation from the full spectrum of STEM talent (PIs, co-PIs, senior personnel, postdocs, graduate/undergraduate students, trainees).
