The EPA has set up a grant program to help Tribal entities in Alaska address land contamination issues related to the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act (ANCSA) lands. The funding is available for site assessments, clean-up efforts, and community engagement for lands that were contaminated before their transfer. Eligible for these grants are Alaska Native regional and village corporations, federally recognized Tribes in Alaska, and relevant nonprofit associations or consortia. Applications …
