Description
This grant aims to support medical examiners and coroners facing challenges due to limits on autopsies performed by certified pathologists. These challenges have worsened with rises in opioid-related deaths and the COVID pandemic. The funding will help by increasing the number of certified forensic pathologists and improving the quality of death investigations across the country. - Nonprofits that do not have a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education

- Native American tribal organizations (other than Federally recognized tribal governments)
- Nonprofits having a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education
- State governments
