The U.S. Department of Labor's Veterans’ Employment and Training Service (VETS) offers grants to support Stand Down events for veterans experiencing or at risk of homelessness. These events provide essential employment, social, and health services and are similar to military rest periods. Grants are given noncompetitively on a first-come, first-served basis, with funding of up to $7,000 for one-day events and up to $10,000 for multi-day events.
